I-275 to Winton Road-Forest Park exit, south on Winton Road to park entrances on left and right. Also accessible via Ronald Reagan-Cross County Highway to Winton Road exit, north on Winton Road to park entrances on left and right.

Kestrel Point is on the West side of Winton Road near the Nature Center building. There are about 120 parking spaces directly in front of the Kestrel Point shelter and another 20 spaces in front of the Nature Center building 200 feet away. Substantial overflow parking is available in the main Harbor area of the park on the East side of Winton Road. Access from the main parking to Kestrel Point is easy with a paved path under the bridge.
